WORKING ON THE NEW CD's

It's been a busy year and Raven is about to focus on her own recordings again.  She spent the winter and spring recording and mixing songs/CD's for Carlyn Hutchins and Joey Ammo.  The first CD will be another singer/songwriter work -- the second will be mostly instrumental, specifically for yoga and relaxation.

GREAT AMERICAN SONG AWARD FOR 2004!!

Raven's song "Between Orion & the Bear" has been selected as a winner in the 2004 GREAT AMERICAN SONG competition.  This song recording is available on her "Rites of Passage" CD.

Based on her songwriting catalog and performance schedule and venues played since 2002, Raven has been granted a prestigious scholarship from ASCAP for 2004-2005.  Thanks to everyone for their continued support in her career :-)

And successful shows at The Coaster in San Diego, Paramount Pictures Studios in Hollywood and the Coffee Gallery Backstage in Altadena!

RAVEN'S single, "Restless Dog", on Oasis compilation!!

    Oasis CD has just released their 2004 Acoustic music sampler.  Featured on this four CD set is Raven's recording of her "Restless Dog" song, along with cuts by such wonderful singer-songwriters as SLOAN WAINWRIGHT!  The sampler is not available in stores, but will be distributed to radio and media throughout the U.S.

INDIEGRRL SHOWCASE confirmed at the National Folk Alliance Conference!!

    Raven will be featuring in the Indiegrrl showcase on February 27th at the National Folk Alliance Conference in San Diego!!  This event is open to members only, but there may be other opportunities to see her in Southern California -- a couple of bookings for the first week of March in Los Angeles are pending and she may play a gig outside of the conference in San Diego.  Stay tuned for more news!!

RAVEN KICKS OFF THE NEW YEAR AT THE MIDWAY CAFE!!

    Come on out and celebrate a new season of singer-songwriter showcases at The Midway Cafe in Jamaica Plain on Monday, January 5th.  This is the place to hear some of Boston's best acoustic rock/folk and blues!!  Catch a rising star... Jon Gorey, Tom Bianchi, Ted Drozdowski and Sarah Woolf are featured along with Raven.  Show starts at 7PM -- no cover charge; must be 21 and over.

LE BAR BAT in NEW YORK CITY was a Great Success!!
Friday, 10/17 @ 7:30PM

    Raven was delighted to return to the Big Apple to perform along with her band, The Dreamcatchers (Andy Lowe, Earl Moeller, Gil Alexander) as an "Emerging Artist" in Mike McHugh's 20th Anniversary Underground Music Celebration!!!

    This was a new venue for us and it was a good experience overall.  Thanks so much to everyone who came out to support us!!  We were the "big draw" of the evening...
